The USA UWH Committee oversees the country's underwater hockey program, including Team USA national teams, US national competitions, and members in clubs across the country. The UWH Committee is the sanctioning authority for tournaments conducted nationwide each year, providing resources, expertise, and support for tournament hosts, and hosts an annual meeting (Symposium) each year. The Committee is dedicated to the development and promotion of the sport throughout the US and to providing the best possible experience for all participants. It fosters grass-roots expansion of the sport, providing a new and veteran club support, growing the pool of trained officials, developing educational materials and digital resources, and undertaking initiatives to generate greater awareness of the sport.
In order to succeed in these endeavors, the UWH Committee appoints and guides a number of directors to specialize in various areas of need. These directors include: Development Director, National Teams Coordinator, Competitions Director, Chief Referee, Rules Director, Director of Referee Training, and Marketing Director; as well as geographically based Regional Directors.
